Why would I need to flatten a form?
To lock in your answers before sending a filled form somewhere it shouldn't be editable anymore — like a signed application or a submitted PDF form.
Can I still fill out the form after flattening?
No — flattening removes the interactive fields entirely, converting your entries into permanent page content.
Does flattening affect checkboxes and dropdowns too, or just text fields?
All field types — text boxes, checkboxes, radio buttons, and dropdowns are all baked into the page and their interactive versions removed.
Does this also flatten comments, highlights, or stamps — not just form fields?

Can I undo flattening once it's done?
No. Once you download the flattened file, the field values are permanent page content and the fields themselves are gone — there's no way to get the editable version back from it. Keep a copy of your filled-in form before you flatten it if you might need to change an answer later.
