書式や画像も比較できますか？
赤/緑のハイライトはテキストベースなので、段落の折り返しが変わっても正確な文言の変更を検出します。テキスト以外の変更——画像の差し替え、色やレイアウトの変更など——には「ページ上の変更点をハイライト」を開いてください。両ページを重ね合わせて、異なるピクセルをすべて表示します。
2つのファイルのページ数が異なる場合はどうなりますか？
どちらかのファイルにある余分なページは、何もないものと比較されるのではなく「このファイルにのみ存在」としてフラグが付きます。
ファイルはどこかにアップロードされますか？
いいえ——比較はすべてお使いのブラウザ内で行われます。ファイルがデバイスの外に出ることはありません。
What about scanned PDFs with no text layer?
The word-by-word diff needs a text layer, so two scanned pages with no extractable text will show as "same" even if the scans look different. For scanned pages, use "Highlight what changed on the page" instead — it compares pixels, not text, so it works whether or not the PDF has real text underneath.
Can it tell if pages were reordered or inserted?
No — pages are compared by position: page 1 against page 1, page 2 against page 2, and so on. If you insert or reorder a page partway through, every page after that point will show as "different" even if the content itself didn't change, since it's now lined up against the wrong page.
Can I compare a PDF to a Word document, or two Word docs?
No, this tool only compares PDF to PDF. If you have a Word file, export or print it to PDF first, then compare the two PDFs.
