使い方

「入力と署名」とはどう違いますか？
「入力と署名」はページに署名の画像を貼り付けるだけです——見た目は正しくても、その後誰かが気づかれずにファイルを編集することを防ぐ仕組みはありません。このツールは本物の暗号署名を埋め込みます。どのPDFリーダーでも検証でき、署名後にたとえ1バイトでも変更があればファイルにフラグが立ちます。
2つの署名方法の違いは何ですか？
「無料の署名を作成」は、入力した名前とメールアドレスに紐づく証明書をその場で生成します——署名後にファイルが改ざんされていないことは証明できますが、認証局があなたの身元を保証しているわけではないため、誰かが明示的に信頼を選択するまでPDFリーダーは未検証と表示します。「自分の証明書を使う」では、すでにお持ちの.pfx/.p12ファイルで署名できます（例：税務、GST、入札などに使われるインドのDSC）——信頼された認証局が発行したものなので、その認証局を信頼するリーダーは自動的に署名を検証済みと表示します。
自己署名の署名は法的に有効ですか？
国や用途によって異なります——暗号学的には、完全性（ファイルが変更されていないこと）と署名者を証明できますが、認可された認証局による署名と同じ法的効力が自動的に得られるわけではありません。契約や申請などに利用する前に、該当する要件を必ず確認してください。
証明書のパスワードや秘密鍵はどこかに送信されますか？
いいえ——すべてブラウザ内で完結します。証明書、そのパスワード、秘密鍵がお使いの端末から外部に送信されることはありません。
Which laws actually recognize signatures like these?
Most countries have some law covering electronically signed documents — the US ESIGN Act and UETA, the EU's eIDAS regulation, India's IT Act 2000, and similar rules elsewhere. But these laws almost always draw a line between a signature backed by a certificate a recognized authority issued and one you generated yourself. A DSC signed with "Use my certificate" is the kind these laws were built around. A signature from "Create a free signature" cryptographically proves the file wasn't tampered with, but it doesn't get the same automatic recognition — treat it like any other self-signed certificate.
Can I send this to someone else to sign, or track multiple signers?
No — this tool signs a PDF that's already on your device, by you, right now. It doesn't email the file to anyone, collect signatures from other people, or give you a dashboard to track who's signed what. If you need to route a document to several signers and follow its status, you'll need a dedicated e-signature workflow service instead.
How does someone else verify the signature once I send them the file?
They open it in a PDF reader that checks digital signatures — Adobe Acrobat or Reader does this automatically and shows a signature panel with a checkmark or warning icon. Clicking it shows whether the document has changed since signing and who the certificate says signed it. If you signed with "Use my certificate" and the reader already trusts that CA, it shows as verified with no extra steps; a self-signed certificate shows as valid-but-unverified until the recipient chooses to trust it.
