Crop a PDF

Drag to select the area to keep, then crop every page.

How it works

  1. Upload your PDF.
  2. Drag the selection box over the area of the first page you want to keep.
  3. Preview how it applies across the document.
  4. Download — the same crop applies to every page.

How is the crop area calculated?

The box you draw is measured as a percentage of the page's width and height, then applied to every page — so it stays proportionally the same even if pages differ in size.

Can I undo a crop?

Cropping only changes what's visible (the page's crop box) — always keep your original file, since this tool works on a copy and doesn't modify anything until you download.

Can I crop each page differently?

No — one crop area, measured as a percentage of the page, is applied uniformly to every page in the file. If different pages need different crops, split the PDF into the groups you want first, crop each group separately, then merge the results back into one file.

Does cropping delete content outside the box permanently?

The content outside the crop box is hidden from view, and your original file is never modified — always keep the original if you might need the full page later.

Will cropping change the file size?

Usually only slightly — cropping changes what's visible, not the underlying embedded content, so don't expect the significant size reduction that Compress PDF provides.

Can I type exact crop measurements instead of dragging?

No — selection is drag-only, there's no field for entering millimeters or inches. For a precise crop, zoom in on the preview in your browser first so the box lines up exactly where you want it.

Does cropping resize the page, or just hide part of it?

Just hides it. Crop sets the page's crop box, which is the area that gets displayed and printed — the underlying page dimensions don't change. If you want to actually scale pages down to a standard size like A4 or Letter, use Resize PDF instead.
