Remove Duplicate Pages from a PDF
Automatically find repeated pages — review and confirm before removing.
How it works
1. Upload your PDF. 2. Pages that exactly repeat an earlier page are pre-selected automatically. 3. Review and adjust the selection, then remove them.
How does it detect duplicate pages?
For pages with real text (typed or digitally created), the text content is compared against every earlier page. For scanned or image-only pages with no text layer, it falls back to comparing rendered pixel content instead. Either way, only exact matches are pre-selected, keeping the first occurrence and flagging the repeats.
Will it catch pages that are similar but not identical?
No — this looks for exact repeats, not near-matches. Two pages with even small differences won't be flagged, so nothing gets removed by mistake.
Can it find duplicates across multiple PDF files?
No — it only compares pages within the one file you upload. If you need to dedupe across several PDFs, merge them into a single file first, then run this tool on the merged result.
Why does my PDF have duplicate pages in the first place?
Usually it's a scanning issue — a double-sided document scanned as single-sided runs through the scanner twice, or a feeder picks up the same sheet more than once. It also happens when files get merged more than once, or a print job duplicates a page. Either way, this tool finds the repeats so you don't have to scroll through hunting for them.
