Fill & Sign a PDF

Draw or type your signature, then drop it onto the page.

How it works

  1. Upload your PDF.
  2. Draw, type, or upload an image of your signature.
  3. Drag it into position on the page (fillable form fields, if any, are detected automatically).
  4. Download the signed result.

Can I draw my signature with a mouse, not just touch?

Yes — the signature pad works with mouse, trackpad, or touch input.

Can I sign more than one page?

This tool places one signature per download. For multiple signature spots, download the signed file and run it through the tool again for the next page.

Can I resize my signature after placing it?

Yes — drag its corner handle to resize it, and drag the signature itself to reposition it before downloading.

Does this work if the PDF has no fillable form fields?

Yes — you can still place a signature anywhere on the page even without detected form fields; fields are just an added convenience when present.

Is a signature added this way legally binding?

That depends on your jurisdiction and use case — this tool places a visual signature image on the page; it doesn't provide cryptographic e-signature certification. Check your specific legal requirements before relying on it for contracts.

Can I type my signature instead of drawing it?

Yes — switch to Type mode, type your name, and it renders in a cursive-style font that's ready to place on the page, no mouse or touchscreen drawing needed.

Can I upload a photo or scan of my actual signature?

Yes — switch to Upload, drop in a PNG or JPG of your signature (a photo of one you signed on paper works fine), and it places on the page the same way as a drawn or typed one.

Can I add a date or my printed name next to my signature?

Yes — the Add Text mode lets you type any short text and place it anywhere on the page, separate from your signature. Handy for a date, printed name, or initials next to where you sign.

Does it save my signature so I don't have to redo it next time?

No — nothing is uploaded or stored anywhere. Everything runs in your browser, so once you close the tab it's gone. Draw, type, or upload it again next time you need it; it only takes a few seconds.

I need a real digital signature, not just a signature image — what should I use?

Use our Digitally Sign PDF tool instead. This tool only stamps a signature image onto the page; a digital signature applies an actual cryptographic signature tied to a certificate, which some legal and government forms require.

Can this tool add new fillable fields to a PDF that doesn't have any?

No — it only fills in fields a PDF already has and places your signature on top; it doesn't create new fields. To build fillable text boxes and checkboxes from scratch, use our Create Fillable PDF tool first, then come back here to fill it in.
